On 6th October 1985 The European F1 Grand Prix was staged at Brands Hatch (Dad was actually there!). Nigel Mansell, driving for Williams, took his first Formula 1 victory. Thanks to my good friend Leyton (see previous post), I was offered the chance to ride round Brands Hatch in some very fast cars. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us, but I still had a fantastic day, and met some wonderful people who made me feel very welcome.
