Out on the Canal with family and friends

In May 2015, Myself, Dad, Debra, and my good friends Ray and Chris, embarked on a canal boat holiday from Great Bedwyn to Devizes on the Kennet and Avon Canal. We had such a laugh, and it was a fantastic experience (though the photo showing my stepmum at a cider festival is probably a moment that should be forgotten!)

The Bruce Trust is a fantastic organisation that offers specially adapted boats. You need to attend a training course beforehand – steering a boat is not as easy at it seems!! Ray volunteered as head chef – and he did a very good job, whilst Chris and Debra took responsibility for opening and closing the locks. Dad plotted the route via the local pubs!
