I had the pleasure of meeting Tom with dad Mark at a regular Thursday evening gathering of friends for pizza and pasta. Tom clearly enjoys being around other people and making new friends and it looks like he enjoys a slice or two of pizza as well. A couple of days later Tom and Mark joined in with the ‘Correlibre’ running/walking Saturday morning gang. Tom achieved the excellent feat of walking unaided from the centre of town to the end point some 1.5km away where runners and walkers meet after their exercise. Breakfast followed at the nearby Piccadilly Bar where a full English was deservedly enjoyed. During my encounters with Tom with help from dad he has told me about his volunteer work at the London Transport Museum, receiving cricket training at Lord’s and living in the pretty Norfolk resort of Cromer. All done with an infectious smile. What a guy!
